WHAT IS THE FCC STORY?
In May 1998, four missionaries from Manila came to Denmark to get an impression of the prevailing spiritual condition of the country. They saw the
need and possibility of establishing a Christian Church, which would focus on reaching out to Filipinos. Pinsekirken København saw their vision and
supported their mission. Two weeks after they arrived, they were able to draw together twelve Filipinos who met for fellowship on Sunday mornings.
The group continued to gather regularly and little by little the meeting started to grow. After three months, the missionaries went back to the
Philippines. The sending church in Manila, Come to Jesus Community Church, then decided to send back one of them. Pastor Raymond Osias
endeavored not only to pursue the vision of the church to establish Asian missions in Europe, but also to heed a personal call to minister to the
Filipino community in Denmark. By God’s astounding blessing and provision, he, his wife, Mildred and son, Abdiel were able to raise funds for the
fare to go to Denmark. They acquired visa as a missionary family and finally set foot in Copenhagen on November 4, 1998. They re-gathered
the small group of Filipinos and initiated a worship service immediately the next Sunday after their arrival. The group started growing again and finally
became the Filipino congregation of Pinsekirken København, presently known as the Filipino Christian Church.
Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do soas one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11
